Introduction
QrtzApp respects the intellectual property rights of creators and expects users to do the same.
This Copyright & DMCA Policy explains how copyright complaints are handled on QrtzApp and how copyright owners may request removal of allegedly infringing content.
QrtzApp complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") and other applicable intellectual property laws.
1. Copyright Infringement
Users may only post content that they own or have the legal right to share.

Once QrtzApp is formally operating, a designated DMCA agent should also be registered with the U.S. Copyright Office.
4. What Happens After a Complaint
Upon receiving a valid copyright complaint, QrtzApp may:
- Remove the reported content
- Restrict access to the reported content
- Notify the affected user
- Request additional information
- Take other actions required by law
QrtzApp may remove content before contacting the user if circumstances warrant immediate action.
QrtzApp does not determine ownership disputes and may rely on information provided in notices and counter-notices.
5. Counter-Notification Procedure
If your content was removed due to a copyright complaint and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification.
A valid counter-notification must include:
- Your full legal name.
- Contact information.
- Identification of the material that was removed.
- Identification of where the material appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification.
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court.

6. Restoration of Content
If QrtzApp receives a valid counter-notification, we may forward it to the original complainant.
Unless the complainant informs us that they have filed a legal action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity, QrtzApp may restore the content after the period required by applicable law.
QrtzApp reserves the right to decline restoration where otherwise permitted by law.
7. Repeat Infringer Policy
QrtzApp maintains a repeat-infringer policy.
Users who repeatedly violate copyright rights may face:
- Content removal
- Feature restrictions
- Account suspension
- Permanent account termination
QrtzApp reserves the right to determine what constitutes repeated infringement based on the circumstances.
8. Reblogs, Quote Reblogs, and Copyright
QrtzApp allows users to reblog and quote reblog content through platform features.
These platform features do not grant ownership of copyrighted material.
Users remain responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to publish content they upload or redistribute.
If the original content is removed due to a valid copyright complaint, QrtzApp may also remove dependent redistributions of that content.
Derivative content containing substantial independent user-created expression may be evaluated separately on a case-by-case basis.
9. Fair Use and Lawful Uses
Copyright law may permit certain uses without permission, including:

- Criticism
- News reporting
- Teaching
- Scholarship
- Research
- Other lawful exceptions
QrtzApp does not make legal determinations regarding fair use and may require parties to resolve disputes through the legal process.

QrtzApp reserves the right to take action against users who abuse copyright-reporting systems.
